We made our way from Bear Lake Idaho to Cheyenne Wyoming with only one stop on the way , it is free,no hook ups, open all night and has toilets.....Yep we used Walmart the 4 or 5th time in 17 years...and we were not alone at all ,some even opened the slides ,we did not disconnect the truck or open slides, our 5w floor plan allows us to get almost every where when slides are closed, so we were “ruffing” it.....hahaha.
The views from the roads sometimes were showing its beauty but mostly HWY 80 is one long boring Hwy..
We found a C.G just behind a RV dealer and store, nothing fancy just full hookups ,sites on leveled gravel and WiFi connectivity near the office ,the important thing was the short distance to Down Town Cheyenne .
On the following day we started our visit at the main squire and the Tourist Information office.
The volunteer person was very kind and helpful , he equipped us with walking tour maps, list of restaurants and other general information like where to park and so on, but he forgot to tell us that the Capitol Building is under constriction and therefor closed to the public, so one can imagine our surprise when we got there..
But the rest of the tour was great , we loved the BIG BOOTS,the Old Governor Mansion House and the old buildings along the walking tour, we did not take the trolley.
While walking we saw this sign suggesting that in this spot actually was a Synagogue but now unfortunately another building is standing instead of this significant Jewish heritage temple.
The Botanical gardens were some kind of a disappointment, huge beautiful building with not enough colors and special plants, we found this special corner and Australian colorful birds.
The Wyoming Cowboy Museum was next on our list but the 10$ entree fee per person did not justify to walk in to see the old west history as I read on the internet, so we took some shots from the beautiful iron statues showing a lot of movement and grace.
I also meet with my friend from the good old western times ,unfortunately he is not with us any more, I loved his movies...

I'm sure you've probably moved on from Cheyenne but we visited a super computer site there that I found fascinating. I-80 out this way (Illinois and Indiana) is nothing but big trucks. Can't believe it's almost time for you to head home already.
