Mammoth Lakes Festival & Bishop CA

Map picture

On our last day in Lee Vining we drove to Mammoth Lakes to attend the labour day festival, the beautiful town was loaded with people that came to listen to music , check the vendors and have beer or whisky.

It was a “day off” after hiking for 7 days in a row ,we enjoyed it too.

On the next day we hooked up and pulled the rigs to Keoughs Hot Springs C.G just 8 miles South of Bishop CA.

It is a small (10 sites) beautiful C.G with a lot of shade (very much needed) that has grassy sites, water, electricity,WiFi but no sewer and no central dump station, the closest place to dump is in Bishop.

The fee for camping does not include 8$ fee per person /per day to enter the Hot Pool on the premises plus they charge another 2$ for the shower (it is California..they say,as if it the justifying excuse)

Keoughs Hot Spring C.G CAWell instead of using their commercial Hot Pools we drove for 5 minutes and soaked in this beautiful natural clean Hot Springs free of charge.

The fresh desert air, warm water and the stunning views were just perfect to end this day, life is short enjoy it as it can change in a blink of an eye.

You guys all look so relaxed and happy in the hot springs. A great way to enjoy after a week of hiking.
