From Beckley WV to Summersville WV-Day 1

The 55 Mile drive went without any special events, the weather was fine around the 80’s and the sky was covered with feather clouds what made it even better.

As I did not have WiFi in Beckley and not in this COE C.G in Summersville therefore I am using windows live writer to prepare the post and save it as Draft till I get to a WiFi Spot like McDonalds ,Hotel or any other spot I can locate, so the posts sometimes are posted accordingly .

We chose to camp in Corps of Engineer Campground on Summersville Lake near the Dam,they have good size sites with electrical hookups, water and damp are used in central locations,so we filled the water fresh tank and headed to our site that was lake side with some shade.

The Lake is busy place, platoons, kayaks, tubes ,whatever floats is on the lake, and we could see all that from our site, so as you see we are not exactly suffering..

We learned that last week the place was cut from the electricity and all campers were evacuated from the place till yesterday,so we ARE lucky…

After a short rest and a light meal we headed to Burger Ranch in town just for the WiFi ,got our e-mails done and searched the local attractions for the days to come.

On the way back we stopped at the lookout point to enjoy the view of this beautiful lake.

It is so relaxing here I might get used to it…..

Thanks for visiting.

We love COE parks. All the ones we have been in are just lovely and so clean. Yours looks like it is beautiful!

I just discovered Live Writer and also use it when we don't have wifi. Like the map of your travels. Glad it worked out.
We love Corps of Engineer parks, too.
