Twin Lakes is a haven for hikers, photographers, fishermen, campers and nature lovers, they are nestled between the mountains and create a perfect place for family out door activity.
There are numerous C.G around the Lakes some dry camping and some with full hook ups ,these charge 30$ a night, not so bad for California…
Wild like can be seen in the area ,I guess they are used to get close to people and expect to get a treat.
There are few hikes with different difficulty levels, some are around the lakes on flat grounds , some steep to the peaks ,we chose a moderate one to a waterfall , if we have a choice we always hike to a waterfalls, this nature “phenomena” does not stop to amaze me.
It was 2Miles up the hill and not exactly a waterfall but still a refreshing hike rather than just hike up a dry trail.
As we got down to the lake we found a great shady spot for our picnic facing the view and the ducks in the water.
On the way home we passed through a guest Ranch and enjoyed talking with the owners, one of their thing is to move cattle for a week to new pasture ,you can book this event and be a part of playing the “cowboy”
Not an easy life I would say…
