The C.G we picked in Amery Wisconsin is on a lake and most of the sites are seasonal ,when we came in 2 days ago is was quite like cemetery,but today the place came to life ,people came in pulling boats ,golf carts and got ready for the long weekend.
It seemed that if one does not have a boat and or a golf cart he does not belong here,kids that hardly reach the pedals are running golf carts all over the place ,I just hope they can also stop the cart before hitting a tree or a trailer.
Our new friends Ski & Rosemary have a lake side seasonal site and a pontoon boat tied to the deck at the end of their site,it is a home away from home in the summers since they both retired .
After lunch we all got into the pontoon and spent few hours on the lake zipping wine and having a good time.
“Captain” Ski had a huge mug and he was zipping from it from time to time ,judging from the smell it was not water….any how it was a great relaxing day ,good company ,good weather –can not ask for more.
