Hwy 2 in Washington State is a part of the Cascades Scenic Loop, along this beautiful HWY there are many small communities ,many hiking trails and outstanding views.
Today we chose to hike the Bridal Veil Falls , not the ones in Yosemite but the ones near Gold Bar Washington.
I am happy that I researched the location of the trail head before hitting the road , there was no visitor information along the HWY, no Ranger on duty at the deserted Ranger Stations and no signs along the way pointing to the trail head.
The trail head is located 6 miles East from Gold Bar on HWY 2 and here are the coordinates to help anyone interested to hike this magnificent waterfall 47.78944 -121.5667 .
The hike to the Waterfalls is 2.2 Miles one way it is all in the shade with beautiful vistas all along .
The hike can be divided to two parts: the first part is an easy almost leveled trail, the second part is a steep last Half a Mile all on tree root, staires and rocks , BUT it is worth it.
There are more drops of this waterfalls but I could not catch it all on my camera.
This hike continues for another steep strenuous 2 Miles to Lake Serene which we did not do this time.
There are 4-5 other watrfalls close by , we will sure have to come back to this outstanding beautiful area.
