Every one knowing us warned us about Wisconsin Dells being a “tourist trap” ,but if the visit is during mid September it is perfect,the weather is still nice and the place is almost deserted,no lines,no kids.all is clean and quite.
We found a Passport America C.G just 13 Miles from town where the owner offered us to chose any site and stay even during the weekend with P.A prices (14$).
The C.G has a beach,nice sites,friendly owner ,WiFi and full hookups with this price it is a steal.
We took combined tickets for the Wisconsin Ducks & Boat ride with 2 short hikes on the way,
The Ducks is an amphibian vehicle that took us on a ride through a forest+Lake ,all together very nice 45 minutes .
The boat ride took two exciting hours that included 2 short hikes along a Georg with beautiful bluff formations.
Tourist trap or not we HAD a great time and this young eagle just added to the whole scenery.

That first rock/bluff picture is so beautiful. I love traveling during September and October after everybody else has gone home. Makes even those touristy places a great lace to visit.
